Zac's College Adventure

yesterday:

First day of classes! I had a class called Christian Life and Thought (yay!) at 8 (boo). Its in the new Bible building which by the way is amazing! ill take a picture of the classroom tomorrow in class. My prof was excellent and not boring. It was pretty much an intro day though. Second class was English Composition. No final in that class! and all we do pretty much is write 1 page analytical essays. No big deal. I had lunch with Sarah and then went off to Jubilate later at 4. That class is going to be amazing! There is a missions trip to Jamaica over spring break so we'll see what happens with that. Pretty sweet crowd and its very laid back. That will be a very fun class. (If you haven't heard its a contemporary choir that leads worship with a worship band). Unfortunately I did not make heartsong.. still working on why (most likely too many upperclassman). but i found out something cool related with that the next day! but you'll have to keep reading to find out. 

Then was Lawlorpalooza. CRAZYNESS! it was unit versus unit in lawlor and you dress up in a theme on your team. we were pirate ninjas.. i wish I had pictures lol. you had to be there but it was pretty cool. we played tug of war and had eating/drinking (soda of course) contests. Our unit didn't win it but it was still intense. another way for your team to get points is if someone from your group had the worst breakup story... at the end of each story we would bow our head and hold up our fists in respect (it looked really funny.. every time the crowd or girls watching would laugh) Some kid had his lung collapsed.. and he was unconscious in the hospital and he wakes up and there is a text message from his gf saying she wanted to break up. she was dating someone the next week while he was still in the hospital. yea. he won lol.

todays blog.. second day of classes. 

I got to sleep in today! chapel was at ten which was excellent! it was on naturalism and how sometimes America treats nature as a god. Then I had my audio production class. it was awesome! its not really music based but I am going to learn a lot about sound! I have access to two of the studios and then next semester I will take advanced audio production where I get access to the pro tools hd studio! (just the software costs $11,000). I'm pretty pumped for that. so yea that was the only class. I took sarah to the Hive which has a sweet coffee shop which was great. (they have fooseball there too) 

So yea last night i recieved an email. apparently the puppet teams are changing into half puppet teams half worship band this year. so the people I auditioned for Heartsong reccomended me and 4 other guitarists to play on it. I met with the guy today and auditioned for that. Quite a curveball but maybe this is where God wants me! Its more for elementary/middle school age audience group but we'll see what happens. we still play just worship songs. same time commitment as Heartsong and I still would get paid about $15,000. I'm still not sure I want to do it, but I'm praying about it. 

We then had a kickball tourney with our small group. Not many showed from ours so I called austin and he played with us. pretty fun actually! we were 1-1. now im pretty much just hanging out! maybe we will go rock climbing.
