117, Maybe Twice

As I am jumping into classes, I am realizing that I like almost all of them, as stated below (yes.. politics isn't too bad), but Advanced       Audio Production is a favorite. Pictured to the right is the Apple 117 studio. Roughly $38,000 went into the studio, complete with Pro Tools HD 7.4.1. Sweet stuff!!! Taylor and I dropped by today to mess around with some things. The studio also has a closet full of some of the nicest mics around, which will help with future audio projects. My first project is a 5.1 surround "story" which I will be posting here upon completion. Later in the semester I will be doing an ADR (aka Audio Dialogue Replacement) project where I will take a scene from a well known movie, remove all the audio, and then put it all back in with my own sounds and voices. The third project, the most anticipated, is a music production. I've got some ideas there, and am looking forward to it.

Above and to the right I am testing out the console and to the left is the enormous effects and patch bay rack that sits to the right of the console. The rack contains some fabulous mounts such as reverb, EQ, and compressors. Some are old-school and some very new. Overall I am extremely impressed and thrilled with the Apple 117 studio.
Once again I appreciate your comments! Hopefully my next post will include a video, if I can figure that out. Until then please comment, and have an excellent weekend.
Cedarville is currently very cold, snow on the ground and the lake is mostly frozen. (When isn't that true though?) Austin and I learned that riding bikes after rain is a very bad idea. I only fell once I might point out. Maybe twice.
