hello again. I have decided that getting to posting every night has forced me to go to bed later so I will still try to do it as much as possible but it might be down to every other night. We'll see. anyways. Classes have been going great!
monday was a day off of course. I discovered an amazing pass time... beach volleyball! most of you may know.. there are no real beaches in Ohio. (its a two court sand filled volleyball area) Austin Evan Zach Joey and I DESTROYED upperclassmen! We won three out of four games. It was a blast. That was the highlight of the day.. (mostly because I can't really remember what else I did).. (edit: now that i think about it.. i did this on sunday lol)
monday there was fireworks at night which sarah and i watched.. amazing i must say!.. and we did actually play volleyball a lot on monday... and did a lot of hw. sorry for the confusion
yesterday i had a mildly busy day. Classes were normal but it was the day of the first puppets practice. I learned so much and it really confirmed that this is what God wants me to do. It actually is going through a name change. Currently it is called Masters Puppets, but because it is no longer only about puppets they are changing the name. I am supposed to be thinking of ideas. if any of you have one let me know. basically the group does a "show" for elementary and middle schoolers that may include puppets, drama, and music. but what was made really evident is the fact that its not just a show. the guy in charge of these traveling teams made it clear he cares more about us mingling and genuinely caring for and conversing with the churches in order to represent Christ better. He used an example of another traveling team from a different university that put on their "show" and the instant that it was over they all pulled out there cell-phones and packed up their things. what does this tell the audience and the church that you are trying to reach? basically that you don't really care about what you are trying to teach. (hopefully im getting this point across well... im kinda tired) anyways, our meeting was great and i can't wait for this
Today I found out I made the yellow team praise band for jubilate! this means.. i think... that I will be playing for jubilate (yes this is confusing.. i already auditioned to be a part of jubilate as a vocalist. once you make that then you audition for parts in the praise band that plays with the chior) there are two bands that do this but those two bands also get to play in chapel. So yes this is totally cool and im excited.
one thing I might have forgotten to mention, i am playing in a friends chapel band (he is a junior, and a church ministries major who puts together a band and plays in chapel throughout the year) he asked me to do a little tryout for him one of these past days (monday I believe). all went well and my first chapel is on the 15th. tune in to watch if you like! they broadcast it live somewhere (i will post a link once i find it) at 10AM. Im excited for this
more on today...
lunch with sarah was good :-) I got to jam with the peeps from Wildfire and Jubilate was fun as always. we had a dorm meeting in the "sauna" where we prayed together and did a devotion. and now i am sitting here writing this to all of you!
i must do home work
goodnight all

Hey Zac, it is so good to hear that you're enjoying college and that God is using you there.
Guess what! Stephen gets to come home from 9/12-19. It is a total out of the blue kind of thing - he had no idea he would have a week off.
Keep blogging, Zac, and take care of yourself.
Mrs. Aiken
Hey Zac, I just caught up on all your posts. It sounds like college agrees with you. Congrats on all your opportunities to be playing and doing ministry. Take care and i'll be praying for you.
