Hello!
This is by far the earliest I have gotten around to posting.. which is good because it means I might get to bed at a decent hour for once lol. Well lets see, I still can't find my cell phone. But I only had one class today: Audio Pro(duction), which was awesome. We talked about how to build an acoustically correct studio, which was extremely helpful and informative. We went over really cheap ways to do it that sound no different than pro stuff as well. But check this out!! http://www.darkhorserecording.com/ Look through it. This was one of the studios we analyzed in class (RK has been there and other major artists). O my goodness! An internship there would be AMAZING! I wonder how many millions it cost to build that place. Its beautiful!
Anyways... afterwards I tried out for the Jubilate praise band, which I thought went pretty well Hopefully this will be my last audition for a while. finally. Afterwards I did my homework, went to dinner with Sarah and Austin.. and we ran into a bunch of other people that we sat with (Nick Ryan Zach Joey). Sarah and I then went with Kevin to practice for a worship team at a church called Northern Heights. It was very interesting. The band was pretty good.. but I'm not really sure what the church body is like. Paul.. the other electric guitarist (yes we had two.. one rhythm and I got to play lead :-) ) said that a lot of the people are anti-contemporary and will just sit down and not sing when they don't sing hymns. So I might play with them this Sunday and see how it goes, but I want to look at other places too. I miss all you CEFCH people! especially my bandmates... Oh and btw.. there sound up on stage was nothing compared to what we have. (can't wait to come home and play with you all again) There band was made up of 1 grand piano, and two electric keyboardist (1 of which was Sarah :-) ) a drummer (Kevin who is in Wildfire.. excellent drummer.. live set too) two electrics (they liked mr. mesa lol) and two acoustic guitarists, a bassist, and like 3 other singers. So it was a big band! The church body is about half our size (150).
Well thats all I got tonight.. we might go rock climbing tonight. Ive been wanting to do that so hopefully it will happen!
until tomorrow
